Starting on December 1st, 2017, new Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements will include the coverage of certain cholesterol lowering medications called “statins”. With the addition of this coverage, your plan will be providing coverage of certain strengths of generic statin medications at a zero ($0.00) copay for members who are age 40 to 75. All other age groups will pay your normal copay. Please note: Brand statins will process at your normal copay.
